Martingale System at Betfair Zero Roulette

The martingale roulette system is probably the most famous roulette system in the world. The basic idea is to bet on say red, £1, if it wins, keep the money, if it loses bet £2. If the £2 win, this wipes out the £1 loss and makes a profit of £1. If the £2 bet loses, then bet £4. If that wins, this wipes out the losses and gives a £1 profit.

The system would work if you had an infinite bankroll and an infinite limit roulette table. In reality, you can have a bank roll that is for all practical purposes infinite but the infinite table limit does not exist. Some casinos offer a very high limit of £5000 or more. At Betfair casino, you can place a max bet of £1000.

The zero lounge has minimum bet of £1 and a maximum single bet of £10 on the outside though. This is really to stop martingale systems which should actually work. The zero lounge is better than a table with a single zero roulette as the probability of winning is less than 50% when there is a zero on the table.

With the low table limits though, Martingale cannot really work. You could start with a pound and double up. After 3 rounds you hit the outside bet maximum. You can get round this a little by betting on the inside but you will still hit the table maximum after another round.

Can the Martingale allow you to beat Betfair roulette? If you walked away at the right time I am sure you could. The martingale system does actually work at normal casinos. Its just like picking up pound coins in front of a steam roller though. You might be able to pick up a few pounds and walk away unscathed but someone will get run over.

If you have tried using the martingale at Betfair zero lounge, please leave a comment below.
